T34/85 (1:48 scale)

The T-34 was a Soviet medium tank produced between 1941 and 1958. During World War II it was the primary vehicle of Soviet armoured forces. Due to its great simplicity, it was very easy to manufacture, use and repair. The design was very ahead of its time and was arguably one of the best of WW2. However, due to the dire situation faced by the Soviet Union in the opening years and months of the German invasion production quality took a drastic hit in favour of quantity over quality and even then, the T-34 still proved itself to be a vital asset. Many historians believe that the T-34-85 was instrumental in the Allied victory. The T-34/85 is a late war upgrade of the original design giving it a larger turret capable of housing the powerful 85mm ZiS-S-53 Cannon, first seen in early 1944. The vehicle was used by dozens of countries for many years after the end of the war.
